In Numbers 9-10 we see an influential exchange with the Lord and His children. As they are coming together to celebrate Passover, the Lord proclaims that everyone in the Israelite camp, the foreigners and the unclean, are to join together in celebration. The scriptures show the Lord coming and staying with His children for the feast and longer. The people follow the cloud of His presence with patience and deliberation. In Chapter 10, we see a new command when calling the community together: blow the trumpets when the children move to a new place, when they go up against their enemies in battle, and when they celebrate to remember the Lord, His presence, and His victories.
As our NEI District comes together for the District Assembly on May 18th, we want to unify the cloud of His presence with the business of the district. Prayer warriors, please, join us in the Youth Center at Grace Point Fort Wayne to sound the trumpets for the Nazarene church as it moves into our various communities. From 8:30 am until we adjourn the prayer room will be available in the Youth Center.
