David G. Roland grew up in Oklahoma and Texas in a Nazarene parsonage as son to Rev. L.D. and Pauline Roland. He accepted a call to preach early in life and as a teenager traveled, preaching youth revivals and supplying in pulpits across the Dallas District. Upon high school graduation, he moved to Kansas City to pursue an education, graduating from both Mid America Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary. In 1999, he was honored with a Doctor of Divinity Degree from Mid America Nazarene University.
Following nearly twenty years of pastoring growing churches in Drexel, Missouri; Sherman, Texas; and Carrollton, Texas, he became District Superintendent of the North Arkansas District Church of the Nazarene and served for nine years.
On June 27, 2002, he was elected by the sixtieth district assembly delegation as the seventh District Superintendent of the Northeastern Indiana District Church of the Nazarene where he continues to serve. As a member of the Board of Trustees at Olivet Nazarene University, he was honored to be elected as the chairman of the board in 2011. He is a trustee to the board of Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He served the Church of the Nazarene as a member of the DSAC Committee and the General Board, chairing the Finance and Administration Committee. Dr. Roland brings to the district a rich background in ministry and administration.
His wife, Cheryl, is equally talented as a published writer, speaker, and leader of women's ministries. She has directed the District Women’s Ministry for twenty years, served on the General Church Women’s Ministry Council for the Church of the Nazarene, and is a council member of the well known Come To The Fire women’s conferences.
The Rolands are the proud parents of two daughters: Cassie and Kari. Kari is an elementary school teacher and is married to Rev. Nathan Burns who pastors the Silver Creek Church of the Nazarene in Owasso, Oklahoma. They have a son, Bryce, and a daughter, Addie.
Cassie is an elementary school counselor and is married to Ryan Sory employed as a supervisory technician for AT&T in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They have one son, Joshua.
Kraig Hannah, a Greentown, IN native, is a 1999 graduate of Olivet Nazarene University. Kraig began his career in ministry as a teacher and athletic director at Kokomo Christian School. He then went on to minister to families with children at his home church, Kokomo First Church of the Nazarene for nearly 12 years.
Kraig and his wife, Brandy, grew up together and attended church together at Kokomo First Naz. They were married in June of 2000. They have two sons, Jaeden, age 14 and Kyan, age 10.
Kraig and Brandy are excited to minister together as Manager and Office Manager of Shiloh Park.
Jill Farmer, an Indianapolis, IN native, grew up on the Indianapolis District and joined the Northeastern Indiana District in 2017. She first received her Local Pastor License at Shepherd Community Church of the Nazarene and now is an Associate Pastor at Alexandria Church of the Nazarene along with her husband. Jill is married to Pastor Ryan Farmer, who is the Youth Pastor at Alexandria Church of the Nazarene. They were married in the fall of 2017. Both being called to full-time ministry, they are excited to be serving on the district in different capacities.
