Work & Witness

2021

Global Missions is deeply aware of the need to protect both the physical health and the testimonies of
our Work & Witness participants and host congregations. The inherent risks in traveling internationally
during a pandemic have caused Work & Witness to approach resuming normal ministry with caution.
The health of the local church and their testimony in their community is a priority.

The Work and Witness office has developed 5 phases to communicate each country’s status in regard to
hosting international Work & Witness teams. Local and regional leaders will determine the phase of
each country.

  • All countries will begin 2021 in phase 1, closed to international travel.
  • Phases 2, 3 and 4 will allow calculated access based on local and regional leaders’ assessments.
  • Phase 5 will allow W&W teams to fully resume. This will most likely occur after a vaccine is widely accessible and local leaders believe foreign visitors would be welcomed in their community.

Each proposed trip will be evaluated and approved individually.

Please email the Work & Witness office at nazww@nazarene.org to learn the phase of a particular
country. All approved projects are listed on the website, but that does not mean they are all eligible for
in-person teams at this time.

Global Missions would like to thank for your flexibility and patience throughout this global pandemic.
Together we will continue to find ways to safely serve with our brothers and sisters around the world.
